# Excel Analysis ToolPak (Level 2- Data)

## Summary

Ever have the experience that when you need data analysis done but you don't have statistical software accessibility?  The Excel Analysis ToolPak add-in, which is an added feature for Microsoft Excel, can help you get your work done without having to spend time to download a hefty software like SPSS or STATA.  The Excel Analysis ToolPak add-in allows users to perform statistical analyses by providing the data and parameters for each analysis.  The result is displayed in an output table while some analyses generate charts in addition to output tables. 

In this Excel Level 2 workshop, we'll cover the common statistical methods available under the Analysis ToolPak Add-in.  The topics we'll cover in this 2 hour lesson include: 

• Histogram
• Descriptive statistics
• F-test
• t-test
• ANOVA

Prior Excel experience will be a plus as some of the hands-on use terms and keyboard shortcuts are covered in the Excel Level 1 workshop.

## Pre-requisites

Prior to the workshop, please add the Analysis ToolPak to your Excel by following the instruction at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-the-analysis-toolpak-to-perform-complex-data-analysis-6c67ccf0-f4a9-487c-8dec-bdb5a2cefab6

Internet Use: Introductory level (search, log-in, navigation of websites, etc.)

Local installation on your own computer: Microsoft Excel (any version)

Software knowledge: basic Excel skills
